Returns Policy

Returning an unwanted Item:

We hope that you are happy with your purchase but if you have changed your mind and wish to return it to us, we are happy to refund if we are notified within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of items that have been specially made. Of course, this does not affect your statutory rights if the goods are faulty or not as described

To return an unwanted item:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Complete the Customer Care Forms.
  3. You’ll received an email with ticket number, we’ll then be in contact shortly afterwards to discussed returning the item (Unwanted Return will need to be at the customers cost.).

Faulty Item Return:

Damaged, Incorrect & Incomplete

If you have received an item that is faulty, not what you ordered, or is missing parts, please initially photograph the issue (where possible) before completing the online returns form.

To return Faulty Item:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Complete the Customer Care Forms.
  3. You’ll received an email with ticket number, we’ll then be in contact shortly afterwards to discussed returning the item (Unwanted Return will need to be at the customers cost.).

What to do if you receive a damaged parcel:

First Steps:

  • Retain all goods and external packaging for inspection and photograph.

It is pretty standard practice with most couriers to request to inspect. The courier claim assessor will attempt to inspect three times, if the package is unavailable after three attempts, any claim becomes void.

What happens next?

Complete the online form and upload photos (instructions below):

  1. Notify us within 14 calendar days of the original despatch date by Logging into your account.
  2. Complete the Customer Care Forms.
  3. You’ll received an email with ticket number, we’ll then be in contact shortly afterwards to discussed returning the item (Unwanted Return will need to be at the customers cost.).

Exchanges

We don’t offer exchanges as such, for speed and convenience we suggest following the returns process above and then reorder the desired item on a new order. We’ll process and refund the return within 14days. 

Cancellations

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, you have up to 14 working days after you have received your delivery to cancel your order (except for items made specifically to your specification). You can email us at spares@rssailing.com.

If you have contacted us to cancel your order before delivery, though your order will have been cancelled normal delivery cannot be interrupted (Except possibly if you contact us within 1 hour of placing the order.). Please refuse any delivery of cancelled goods or return them to our store or post the order back to us or contact us so that we can get it collected.
